What We Fish For:
So many species of fish within an hour from Ottawa! Here are just a few...
Musky- The baddest fish in the river! Available from early June until freeze up caught casting, trolling or on the fly. They will test your patience but have the ability to create a lifetime memory in one bite.
Largemouth bass- North America’s most popular fish and with good reason. Loads of places to chase and catch this hard fighting fish. Late June to the late fall is when you can catch these bruisers.
Trout- Fish for rainbow, speckled or lake trout. From late April until the late fall and through the ice!
Longnose gar- This prehistoric fish is great for those new to flyfishing or looking to work on casting. They fight hard, jump and are available from May to September.
Northern pike- This toothy predator can be caught locally from mid-May until the late fall. They fight hard and can be caught on spinning gear and on the fly.
